Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Best Insurance Rates ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you visit our website or submit a request through our quote form, by phone, or by email. By using this site, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Who we are
Best Insurance Rates is an independent quote-matching service. We are not an insurance company, agent, or underwriter. We connect people who submit a request with licensed insurance agents and carrier partners who may be able to help them.
2. Information we collect
Information you provide
- Contact details, such as your name, phone number, email address, and ZIP code.
- Information about the coverage you're requesting (for example, vehicle, home, health, life, or business details).
- Any other information you choose to include when you call, email, or fill out a form.
Information collected automatically
- Device and browser information, IP address, and approximate location.
- Pages viewed, links clicked, and time spent on the site, collected through cookies and similar technologies.
3. How we use your information
- To match your request with one or more licensed agents or carrier partners.
- To contact you by phone, text, or email about your request, including follow-up from participating agents.
- To operate, maintain, and improve the website and our matching process.
- To comply with legal obligations and to prevent fraud or abuse.
4. How we share information
When you submit a request, we share the details you provided with one or more licensed agents or carrier partners so they can contact you about coverage options. We may also share information with service providers who help us operate the site (such as hosting, analytics, and telephony providers), and as required by law.
We do not sell your personal information for money. We may receive a referral fee from a carrier or agent when your request results in a connection; this does not cost you anything extra.
5. Your choices
- You can ask to stop receiving calls, texts, or emails from us or from a partner agent at any time by contacting the agent directly or reaching out to us using the details below.
- Most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings; doing so may affect how parts of the site work.
- You can ask us what information we have about you, and ask us to correct or delete it, subject to any legal retention requirements.
6. Data retention and security
We keep information for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described in this policy, or as required by law. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect information, but no method of storage or transmission is completely secure.
7. Children's privacy
This site is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
